Debranding
Were you already familiar with that term?
Sometimes it's good to take another look at your brand, is it mobile first? Does your logo fit into smaller spaces like app icons and social media? Is it still readable then and does your logo still come across clearly? Is your house style font suitable for reading on screens and how do the colors come across on a screen?
If done right, debranding helps modernize, professionalize and digitize your brand, minimalist and clean for a better user experience on mobile but also on desktop. It contributes to recognizability and supports your brand in the message you want to convey.
These brands have gone before you
Many major brands have debranded: Google, Burger King, Volkswagen, Warner Bros., Airbnb, Mini, BMW and many other brands. Have you noticed?
Our own debranding
Since our landscape is constantly evolving and we like to grow with it, we also went to work. For example, we reduced our font use to one font, we are going to use our logo, the Alien hand, more often and we have reduced the use of color. We are also going to use our logo more flexibly, with or without the Alien hand, portrait or landscape: depending on the expression. We have also looked at our photography and ensured that the image is nice and fresh, calm and conveys the right emotion.
