The story of Huttenkloas is perhaps the most infamous from this region.

It contains all the elements for a motion picture, from a serial killer who keeps escaping to a spectacular denouement. The Huttenkloas Brewery in Albergen was inspired by this Twente criminal.

Positioning & rebranding

The brewery is an old friend of ours. Like us, they started at the turn of the century.

They began as a small but promising brewery. The brewery makes specialty beer under the name Huttenkloas, after the medieval Twente highwayman Klaas Annink. They also brew beer for other brands - in total, beer is brewed for about sixty brands!

Turning history into the future

Brewery Huttenkloas has an ambition beyond their old image, so we answered a positioning question and did a rebranding.

The Huttenkloas brand is getting a new look. This of course includes a new house style and a new logo, in which the name Huttenkloas takes center stage and less emphasis is placed on the chair.

Total package

We did a survey of beer brands and looked critically at the target audience for specialty beers.

For that, we wrote a recommendation, did the rebranding, developed communication tools and built a new website. Our designers went to work making the Huttenkloas brand expressive and modern. We also had the opportunity to create clothing, merchandising, beer mats and gift packaging. A nice total package!

The look-and-feel of Huttenkloas is now a lot more modern, more suited to its target audience of specialty beer lovers.

We are happy to have been able to create so many wonderful things for Huttenkloas. What we are most happy about? That Huttenkloas has faith in us and we let our creativity speak for itself, also with a view to what we will do together in the future.

HuttenKloas conquers the beer market

In the store, the new packaging is "shining" and, of course, HuttenKloas is also present online.

From roll-up banners to gift packaging and from beer mats to workwear; the new corporate identity was consistently implemented throughout. By repositioning and rebranding Huttenkloas, we turned a dusty beer brand into a true market leader.

Although the packaging looks different, nothing has changed about the taste of Huttenkloas; it is still criminally delicious!
