You know those delicious, dark chocolate bars from Lindt EXCELLENCE? Then you must be a dark chocolate lover. After all, Lindt EXCELLENCE is the brand for the dark chocolate lover. In 2025 Lindt wants to further strengthen brand awareness and they are doing so with the new Mastery campaign.
Our challenge was to localize the international TV commercial for the Dutch market. Our goal? To create videos for a powerful and consistent multichannel marketing campaign that matches local preferences and different platforms such as TV, YouTube and social media.
Creative localization and strategic advice
The starting point was the original Australian commercial, the basic ingredient for the Mastery campaign to connect with the Dutch audience. From the objective of brand awareness, we worked closely with the Lindt team to optimize the TV commercial and online videos in terms of images, but also in terms of storytelling.
So together we worked out different voice-over texts for all kinds of lengths and platforms and started looking for a suitable voice actor. By the way, did you know that the protagonist of the commercial is one of the eight Lindt chocolatiers in the world? So you don't see an actor here, but a true Lindt master chocolatier.
Multichannel marketing Lindt
By combining TV, YouTube and social media you generate a large reach with a consistent brand message. Does this mean we developed the same video for each platform? Certainly not.
Recognizability is important and we reflect this in visual elements and the core message. But each platform offers different possibilities. On TV and YouTube , we have more time for storytelling and can capitalize on emotions. Social media require short and catchy videos, in which we want to grab attention especially in the first few seconds.

Brand awareness on social media
How do you make the social media user want to watch your video? Social media users are critical; before you know it, your content will be swiped away. By employing an engaging question, powerful statement or visually appealing imagery, you can grab the viewer's attention. Because the goal of this campaign is brand awareness, we chose not to seek interaction, but rather to go for visually attractive images. With Lindt EXCELLENCE, that's a recipe for success, because who wouldn't want to keep looking at this delicious chocolate? And so you find out that Lindt EXCELLENCE 70% cocoa consists of only 4 pure ingredients: for pure lovers.
A campaign that tastes like more
What made this collaboration extra special was the mutual trust between Lindt and our team. We have been localizing the Lindt EXCELLENCE and Lindt LINDOR commercials for years and every year we develop new ideas together to strengthen the brand. For example, last year we developed 3D deep screen animations especially for Albert Heijn. Starting this month you will see the Lindt EXCELLENCE Mastery campaign passing by on RTL, SBS6 and Net5, on YouTube and social media.
