"We're at the fair!" A phrase we often hear enthusiastically from our customers. We share that enthusiasm, because a trade show provides many marketing opportunities. Think about the run-up to the trade show, how do you get relevant visitors to your stand? What does your story look like at the trade show itself, how do you present your brand?

Magistor has been a client of ours for quite some time now, for example, we developed the website in 2021 and since then we have been the strategic marketing partner: we take care of the online marketing, design various digital and print publications and discuss strategic marketing opportunities on a monthly basis. They are the technical wholesaler in the field of machining tools and blasting media.

"We are at Technishow"

With this enthusiastic announcement we started a strategic process together with the team of Magistor. The first design of the exhibition stand was already there, a good starting point to discuss the objectives and how we could best work this out. Based on our knowledge we advised to make some adjustments to the already designed booth. After all, you do want to see right away that the booth is Magistor's, right? We looked critically at the walking routes of the fair and thus also whether from every line of sight it was easy to see that Magistor was there. The exhibition stand had to breathe Magistor, which could be reflected in the visuals for the stand. So the typical house style, from the dark blue color to the abrasive icons could certainly not be missing.

The primary purpose of the fair? Relationship management. That is why there was also a closed space available at the booth. Of course, a display could not be missing in order to speak to business contacts or potential customers in a professional manner (instead of with a laptop screen). Also, a round table works better here, so you can maintain good eye contact with your conversation partners and so everyone gets a good view of the conversation. Not to mention, when something is presented, no one sits with their back to the screen. After a few sessions, a well thought-out design of the exhibition stand emerged, but at that point we were not there yet.

Now for visitors!

The date of the fair is known, but of course everyone needs to know this in time. That's why we designed several ways to invite the high potentials and other customers. We designed both a hard copy invitation for the mail and a digital invitation that could be sent via email. We also created a save the date and general social post to announce that Magistor could be found at Technishow . Since the algorithms of social media platforms do not ensure that all your followers see your post, we adjusted our social media strategy accordingly. The announcement of the Technishow was shared multiple times on social media over an extended period of time, so it couldn't be missed. We also call this the power of repetition. A banner in the e-mail signature could also not be missed to keep reminding everyone.

Not for nothing

This thoughtful strategy of deploying resources on different channels over a long period of time proved successful. Magistor received the "Marketingaward Technishow 2024" because they invited the most relations perm2 to visit their booth at the trade fair. A very nice achievement of which we are also proud!

Corporate video

At the fair, Magistor naturally wanted to properly show what they do and what they stand for. The solution we developed for this is a modular corporate video that is composed of different chapters, to perfectly match Magistor's target audience. For example, we can choose to focus only on machining or blasting, while still properly showing why Magistor is the technical wholesaler. The corporate video also forms the basis for shorter online videos, perfect for socials. During development, we took into account that the videos can be understood without voice-over, because during the fair, the full corporate video (without sound) was shown synchronously on the two screens at the booth. We received great compliments on the video, from both visitors and Magistor itself. We are therefore very proud of the final result!

Of course, after thinking strategically and designing all these resources, we couldn't miss seeing the end result. Therefore, last March we visited the fair and proudly looked at the formatted resources!
